Auto Insurance
Your auto insurance policy can be tailored to
meet your specific needs. From
basic liability insurance to covering physical damage for luxury cars,
we can do it all for you! Below
is a brief explanation of coverages and how we build a policy to suit
your individual needs.
 | Liability
Insurance
This is the coverage you are required by law to purchase if you
own or operate a vehicle in Texas.
You must show proof of liability coverage to register your
vehicle or to obtain a motor vehicle inspection sticker.
Liability insurance protects other motorists and passengers
if you are to cause and accident and you are found to be at fault or
legally liable for someone elses damages and/or injuries.
Liability insurance can be purchased in varying limits
depending on your personal choice.
|
 | Personal
Injury Protection
This coverage is automatically added to your policy when you
purchase liability insurance. The
coverage may be rejected, but the rejection must be in writing.
This insurance can provide you with coverage for your medical
bills and up to 80% of time lost from work.
This is a no fault coverage, and is also payable no matter
what other insurance may also be claimed.
The standard policy limit is $2,500 for this coverage, but
this can be increased on some policies for an additional premium.
|
 | Uninsured/Underinsured
Motorist Coverage
This coverage is also automatically included with your purchase
of liability insurance unless rejected in writing. This insurance provides coverage for your injuries and
property damage (subject to $250 deductible) should an uninsured
driver/vehicle be liable for an accident you are involved in.
The limits of coverage again vary depending on your personal
choice.
|
 | Comprehensive/Other
Than Collision Coverage
This insurance is optional and may be purchased by you to
protect your vehicle. This
coverage will pay for damages sustained by your vehicle which are
caused by anything other than a collision subject to your
deductible. Common comprehensive claims are (but not limited to):
hail damage, broken windshields, vandalism, theft, etc.
You may choose your policy deductible ranging anywhere from
$50 to $1,000. Keep in
mind the lower your deductible, the higher your premium.
If you have financed your vehicle, your bank may require you
to purchase this coverage and list them as the loss payee.
|
 | Collision
Coverage
This insurance is also optional and again is purchased by you to
protect your vehicle. This
coverage will pay for damages to your vehicle that are caused by a
collision. This coverage is also subject to a deductible of your
choice just as comprehensive coverage is.
This coverage will also be required by your bank or finance
company is your car is being financed.
|
 | Rental
Reimbursement
This coverage can be purchased by you to pay for a rental car if
your covered auto is damaged in an loss that is covered by your
policy. This can
provide coverage for up to 30 days.
Coverage per day can be purchased in $5 increments from $20 a
day up to $40 a day.
|
 | Towing
This coverage will pay for the cost of having your covered auto
towed should your vehicle become disabled.
|
These
are only some of the basic coverages available on a personal auto
policy. Be sure to talk to
your agent about other coverages available that you may want to add to
your policy to assure that you have what you need to protect yourself
and your family.
